Community Activities:
On the 29th May 2009 a group of members who were available for the afternoon met at Cosgrove
Park aged care facility ( now called Sandhill ) and did a demo for the residents.
The demo was arranged by “Retro Rocker” Lexie Synfield ,who works at the facility. We had
a lovely time with the “Oldies”, the staff and residents made us feel most welcome and
shared afternoon tea with the group after the demo. It gave us a real buzz to be able to
provide some entertainment and to have a chat with some of the residents who attended the
demo.
The facility Manager had a chat with us and told us about the new accommodation block which is
now completed which will cater for 140 residents, an increase of 60 new places.
The new building is very impressive and we are sure that all the residents will be extremely
comfortable in their new surroundings (Christine said that they even have a bed for
me,). Bugga, I better be good. Well done and thanks Lexie.

Hot Goss:
A certain someone rang requesting help with their computer, the problem was they could not
type onto a document, after a few suggestions to see if we could remedy the situation, a sheepish
voice on the other end of the phone said it’s ok, it’s right now……..the keyboards unplugged !!!!
A clue for who it was….first name aha ?????.
C’mon gang let me know of funny situations that we can share on these pages.
Got an event happening that others may like to attend, let me know your details and we’ll
let everyone know.
